The Anatomy of The Global out Break: The Future of Human And Society

Bibliometric Analysis of the Coronavirus Research Literature Befo- re and During the Pandemic and Evaluations for the Postpandemic Period (1969-2020)

In the pandemic process we are in, Turkey and world have been affected both in terms of lifestyle and known ways of doing business. Although a similar trend was observed in SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavi- rus- SARS-CoV) in 2003 before the coronavirus pandemic and MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus- MERS-CoV) in 2012, these two outbreaks did not define as a pandemic and did not have a magnitude effect. In this regard, in our study, the prominent points of coronavirus researches carried out since 1969 have been examined with a bibliometric analysis. It has been observed that coronavirus studies are concentrated in medical sciences, mainly in virology, veterinary sciences, microbiology infectious diseases. A re- search structure open to academic partnership stands out. When the research focuses of the studies are analyzed, it is noteworthy that the number of studies approaching the subject with a social perspective is low. In the study, it is em- phasized that the pandemic process and the postpandemic process should be handled in terms of socio-cultural, technological, economic, environmental and values. In addition, the study does not only analyze the current situation, but evaluations are made for potential publications for the post-pandemic pe- riod in the light of the developments in the previous epidemic periods regarding the direction of publications
