We hope that Resâilü Ziyaeddin İbnü’l-Esîr, a collection of letters in which the literary aspect, such as divâniyyât and ihvâniyyât predominates will be appreciated by experts in the field of Arabic Language and Literature. We would like to state here that we will respectfully accept their evaluations. On the other hand, we believe that this manuscript will contribute to our understanding of the state ideology and cultural life of its era. The metaphors used by the scribe, the insights he provides into court etiquette, the court officials and their duties, the social ties and power struggles formed by court scribes around kings and sultans, various customs, traditions, hunting parties, gift-giving, forms of address, and the elements of threat, encouragement, and praise within those forms of address are particularly significant from the perspective of social history, as they reflect the characteristics and bureaucracy of the era.
