Sosyal Bilimler Atıf Dizini'nde (SSCI) Türkiye

There is a great need for comprehensive resources on studies carried out in Turkey for various purposes of evaluation and future planning. This is true for all fields and especially for scientific research. In this context, international citation indexes have gained special importance in today's world, where objective criteria come to the forefront in academic promotions, evaluating the achievements of institutions and monitoring developments in the field of science in our country. Within the scope of a study initiated by TÜBA to fill this gap, publications in the social sciences from Turkey that were included in the Social Science Citation Index (SSCI) between 1970 and 1999 were compiled. The compilation also includes the results of the analysis of the publications.
