“Georg Forster Research Fellowship” to TÜBA-GEBİP Member Assoc. Prof. Karahasanoğlu

2016 TÜBA-GEBİP Member and Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Selim Karahasanoğlu was awarded the Georg Forster Research Fellowship scholarship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Assoc. Prof. was taken the award with his studies on Ottoman Literature Ego-Documents, a diary dating from 1749 to 1756 written by a muderris, Sıdkı Mustafa in 18. century. It aims to present a framework for the study of the myths in the Ottoman literature, starting from this log.

The Georg Forster Research Scholarship has been awarded to young successful researchers who have completed their doctorate in the last four years, making a difference with their work and bringing solutions to the problems of developing countries. The award, which covers all scientific research areas, is awarded to a maximum of 10 individuals from developing countries each year.
