He said “With our project titled ‘Obtaining decellularized and demineralized bone tissue to use in bone grafts on patients’ we designed a bone graft that was developed to enable the bone tissue of patients with bone tissue loss to recover close to their original form. I would like to thank everyone who supported me with their accumulation of knowledge in this project, starting with my teacher and advisor Prof. Dr. Fatih Gültekin. We have received joint production proposals from businessmen for our project which will contribute greatly to the quality of life of our patients and the country’s economy. We will continue our work to carry this achievement in the Mediterranean region even further and represent our university in the best possible way”.

In the statement provided by Prof. Dr. Fatih Gültekin he said “This project concerns the production of a medical material that is not yet produced in Turkey. Fractures that occur during traffic accidents can be treated however when tissue loss is in question it is not possible to renew it. We have developed this project to produce the material used in placing suitable bone parts that are removed from cadavers and put through a chemical process, on the area that suffers from tissue loss”.

Prof. Dr. Asım Aydın, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Duygu Kumbul Doğuç and Assistant Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fuat Uslusoy also served on the project team.
