TÜBA Honorary Member Prof. Dr. İsenbike Togan is Presented with the ‘Contributions to Sinology Award’
TÜBA Honorary Member Prof. Dr. İsenbike Togan and Ankara University Language, History and Geography Faculty Sinology Department Teaching Staff Member Prof. Dr. Bülent Okay were presented with an award recognizing their “Contributions to the field of Sinology, which researches the Chinese civilization, language, culture and history’ at the reception held on September 30th for the 66nd anniversary of the People’s Republic of China establishment.
Prof. Dr. İsenbike Togan was presented the award by the People’s Republic of China Ambassador to Turkey ‘For outstanding achievements in the field of Chinese research and teaching Chinese in the 80th year of Chinese research being conducted in Turkey and his contributions to helping establish mutual understanding and friendship between the countries. The awards were presented by Minister Vecdi Gönül and Ambassador Hongyang.
The reception hosted by China’s Ambassador to Turkey YU Hongyang at the JW Marriott Hotel was attended by National Defense Minister Vecdi Gönül and a number of local and foreign guests.
