TÜBA-GEBİP Annual Evaluation Meeting was held at Kastamonu University

The traditional Young Scientists Award Programme (TÜBA-GEBİP) Annual Review Meeting, which aims to improve the relationship and cooperation between scientists and organizations by the presentations evaluated by the scholars of the outstanding young scientists awarded within the scope of TÜBA-GEBIP was hosted by Kastamonu University on 14-16 October.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting. Prof. Ahmet Cevat Acar stated that the TÜBA was formed according to the academic tradition in the Western countries. Prof. Acar underlined that the Academy is a national academy covering all the fields of science of Turkey with financial, administrative and scientific autonomy and legal personality. Acar also underlined that the Academy had a total of 200 members, including 106 principal members, 57 associate members and 37 honorary members.

The Evaluation Meeting also aims to provide interaction between young people and scientists
Prof. Dr. Acar expressed that 373 scientists were awarded under GEBİP and that these scientists continue to bleach the face of Turkish science both nationally and internationally and continued his words as follows: “We are also happy that the winners of GEBİP Awards sign the other successes and rewards. Under this program, which involves monitoring and evaluating projects for 3 years, we hold annual evaluation meetings at a different university each year. The developments in the winners' projects will be monitored and evaluated, and suggestions and criticisms will be presented to them in order to make the necessary revisions in this direction. Our meeting is also aimed at encouraging young students and scientists to interact with each other and to increase their motivation in the name of scientific studies.

Following the meeting, the opinions and recommendations of the winners were received. The program ended with a trip to Kastamonu on the 3rd day.
