The Members of the TÜBA Received the ‘5th Service to the Turkish Culture Gratitude Award’.
TÜBA Honorary Member Prof. Dr Ahmet Yaşar Ocak, Principal Member Prof. Dr Ali Akyıldız and the Turkish Academy of Sciences International Academy Award Winner Mehmet Genç were granted the ‘5th Service to the Turkish Culture Gratitude Award’ by the Foundation of Service to the Turkish Culture.
The ceremony was held in Cemal Resit Bey Concert Hall in Istanbul on 5 January 2016. The Selection Committee determined by the Foundation of Service to the Turkish Culture board granted the fifth Service to Turkish Culture Gratitude Award. The 11th President, Abdullah Gül presented the awards to Alev Ebbüziya, Prof. Dr Ali Akyıldız, Mehmet Genç, Prof. Dr Selçuk Mülayim and to Prof. Dr Fahameddin Başar on behalf of Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yaşar Ocak who was unable to make it to the ceremony.
