Prof. Hasan Mandal, TÜBA Principal Member, Elected to Academia Europaea
Prof. Hasan Manda, a TÜBA principal member and member of the Executive Board of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), was elected to Academia Europaea.
In a meeting on June 26, 2016, Academia Europaea elected new members in the fields of social and related sciences, exact sciences and life sciences. Following a rigorous evaluation process, a number of eminent international scholars from across the continent of Europe were invited to accept membership.
Prof. Hasan Mandal, who works on “structure-property relations” in ceramic materials (particularly in Si3N4 based ceramics) and adopts an approach that is based on transforming knowledge into value rather than generating knowledge for its own sake, will receive his Academia Europaea membership certificate in the annual meeting to be held in Budapest on September 4-6, 2017.
