Principal Member of TÜBA, Professor Ömer Küçük Won “Cancer Researcher of the Year Award”
TÜBA Principal Member and Emory University Faculty Member Professor Ömer Küçük won the Cancer Researcher of the Year Prize given by the Gateway for Cancer Research.
The prize was presented to Professor Ömer Küçük with a ceremony held in New York on 8th September 2016. Professor Ömer Küçük, recently has studies on genistein and proteins in soybeans, stated that the prize made him quite happy and added this prize will lead to further research on zinc.
Gateway Foundation, supports cancer research, gives the Cancer Researcher of the Year Prize to only one scientist every year. This institution also provided support to Professor Ömer Küçük for his works on zinc that reduces infections in patients receiving chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
