Preparations for the World Science Forum 2027 Are Underway
The “WSF 2027 Organizing Committee Online Meeting II,” organized as part of the preparations for the World Science Forum (WSF) 2027, was held online with the participation of international stakeholders. TÜBA, which serves on the Board of Directors and actively contributes to the forum’s preparatory process, focused on science diplomacy and global cooperation during the meeting.
At the meeting, which aimed to establish WSF 2027 as a platform with broad participation, inclusivity, and global impact, the proposed main themes, program structure, and priority topics for WSF 2027 were discussed in detail. Participants exchanged views, particularly on strengthening the interaction between science, policy, and society, as well as developing science-based solutions to global challenges.
A Science-Based Approach to Global Challenges
The importance of more effectively integrating scientific knowledge into decision-making processes in areas such as climate change, sustainable development, digital transformation, and health was emphasized. In this regard, the goal is for WSF 2027 to go beyond being merely an academic platform and become a structure that offers concrete contributions to policymakers and society.
