"International Thought Leader Award" to TÜBA Member Prof. Özçelik
TÜBA Full Member and Bilkent University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. H. Tayfun Özçelik was awarded the 2023 "International Thought Leader Award" by the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG).
Prof. Dr. Tayfun Özçelik, who stated that the award was appreciated for the disease genes he identified and Turkish Variome studies, said that the award was previously received by institutions such as UK Government Genomics England, Chinese Government BGI Genome Program, Stanford University Biomedical Ethics Program, and Saudi Genome Program. He stated that the fact that he and Bilkent University were selected for the award this year was very motivating for the ongoing studies.
