GEBİP Member Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran was Selected to Membership of the “Global Young Academy Board of Directors”
Dean of the Faculty of Life and Nature Sciences at Abdullah Gül University (AGU) and the 2010 GEBİP prize winner Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran was selected to membership of the Global Young Academy’s Board of Directors.
Baran was nominated for the board membership at the annual ordinary general meeting of the Global Young Academy held at the Canadian city of Quebec between 25th and 29th May 2015.
Selected as a member of executive board at the General Assembly, Prof. Dr. Baran will strengthen the existing relations by establishing dialogue with the National Young Academies located in Asia in accordance with this responsibility and will also support the establishment of new young academies and manage Academy’s relations with the press.
Within the Global Young Academy's Board of Directors consisting of nine people, young science leaders from the United States, Kenya, Germany, Britain, Egypt, South African Republic, Nigeria and Netherlands also take part.
