New finds discovered by archaeologists during the two years of excavations carried out in the excavation site, where monuments by ancients Turks are found, were presented in detail in the 2nd Field Seminar by Turkish and Mongolian Archaeologists titled “Nomads of Great Plains: Historical and Cultural Adaptation”, held on August 24 within the framework the ITA’s project.

Khoshoo Tsaidam Museum on the Göktürk period was founded in 2008 in Khashaat district of the province of Arkhangai, within the framework of the project Turkish Monuments in Mongolia (MOTAP) run by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA). Bilge Khagan Highway between the Khoshoo Tsaidam Museum and Kharkhorin district of the province of Övörkhangai was built with a grant from the government of the Republic of Turkey.
An agreement was signed between TİKA and the Directorship of the Khoshoo Tsaidam Museum concerning the Khoshoo Tsaidam Museum Support Project. As part of this project, Bilge Khagan Highway and museum signs, which were damaged by the harsh climate and winds, were renewed. A fully furnished Mongolian tent with six walls was donated to the Khoshoo Tsaidam Museum to present Mongolian customs and traditions to foreign visitors and tourists, and a 40-ton container to store the Museum’s tents and equipment. Steps were taken to present Göktürk historical and cultural heritage in Mongolia to the world, and to improve the capacity of the Museum.
