Cooperation between TÜBA and the Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences
A TÜBA delegation under the leadership of TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Cevat Acar went to Turkmenistan on November 17-21, 2015 in response to an invitation extended by Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimohammedov.
The TÜBA delegation, comprised of President Acar accompanied by Academy Council Members Prof. Dr. H. Fahrettin Keleştimur, Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker and Prof. Dr. Fikrettin Şahin, and TÜBA Principal Member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Solak, met with Turkmenistan’s Minister of Health, Deputy Minister of Education, President of the Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences; Mahdumgulu, Turkmenistan Petrol and Gas, Agricultural Universities rectors, and the President of the Turkmenistan History and Calligraphy Institute; and visitied the Turkmenistan Technology Center with the aforementioned officials.
Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences President Prof. Dr. Gurban Murat Mezilov visited TÜBA with a delegation on December 17, 2015. The delegation met TÜBA Vice President Prof. Dr. Ahmet Nuri Yurdusev and reviewed present relations.
After the corresponding visits and meetings the organizations of the two countries agreed that scientific cooperation would be developed between TÜBA and the Turkmenistan Academy of Sciences and other relevant institutes and centers.
