Associate Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran is among the 40 Selected Young Scientists Participating in the WEF Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2013
TÜBA-GEBİP Awardee Associate Prof. Dr. Yusuf Baran (İzmir Institute of Technology, Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics) was selected to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) – Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2013. 40 Distinguished young scientists under the age of 40 were selected by the Global Network of Science Academies (IAP) from among candidates proposed by member academies of the IAP. The selection criteria are academic excellence, service to society and the potential to change the world through science.
Dr. Baran, along with global leaders in all areas, participated in the WEF New Champions meeting in Dalian (People’s Republic of China) between 11-13 September 2013, with the goal to transform scientific knowledge into technological innovation, in order to make the world a better place.
