Applications for TÜBA-GEBİP and TESEP Awards for 2025 Have Begun
TÜBA-GEBİP and TÜBA-TESEP Scientific Copyright Awards for 2025 are now open for applications. The application deadline is March 14, 2025.
TÜBA's TÜBA-GEBİP awards, which date back 25 years, continue to encourage the young scientists of Türkiye to conduct research. The TÜBA-GEBİP family, of which the laureates are natural members, grows every year with the scientists who are making a difference in Türkiye and the world with their work and are considered worthy of the GEBİP Award. On the other hand, the works that have been recognized with the TÜBA-TESEP Award for almost 20 years are accepted as an indicator of the correct use of the Turkish scientific language.
President Prof. Muzaffer Şeker stated that TÜBA awards programs are the compass of Türkiye's scientific development, emphasizing that the traditional awards attract attention with their rigor and detailed evaluations of the committees, and the program has given confidence and awarded based on merit in every period. Noting that TÜBA-GEBİP Awards support the innovative projects of young academics for three years, President Şeker said that TÜBA not only honors individual achievements but also makes long-term contributions to Türkiye's scientific ecosystem.
In 2025, the "Ahmet and Nezahat Keleşoğlu Pharmacy GEBİP Special Award" will be given to the scientist who makes a difference with his/her "scientific research, projects and studies in the field of pharmacy" through the TÜBA GEBİP Award Program. While the TESEP Awards serve as a projector for scientific publications, a "Special Award" is given on behalf of Prof. Halil İnacık, Prof. Mehmet Genç and Prof. Kemal Karpat, members of TÜBA whose scientific contributions are recognized by the world community.
In addition to 180,000 TL for each year for 3 years, TÜBA-GEBİP Award winners are provided with an additional financial support of 30,000 TL to be used in their graduate studies at the thesis stage, and up to 25,000 TL for national and international meetings to be organized within the scope of their international scientific studies, and scientific consultancy support by members of the Academy. For the first 3 years and for 5 years after the first 3 years, 25,000 TL for European countries and 35,000 TL for non-European and overseas countries is provided as support for participation in scientific meetings and events abroad once a year. Under TESEP, a monetary award of 100,000 TL for copyrighted works and 60,000 TL for copyrighted works as the Jury Special Award will be given.
