Call for Papers: iNCLUSION Conference in the International Cultural Heritage Sector
“International Conference on iNCLUSION in the Cultural Heritage Sector” organized by TÜBA will be held on January 10, 2026 at Boğaziçi University.
Within the scope of the iNCLUSION Erasmus+ KA220-HED project funded by the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for EU Affairs, Turkish National Agency and coordinated by TÜBA, the International Conference on iNCLUSION in the Cultural Heritage Sector will bring individuals from different disciplines together to discuss how cultural heritage can be made more accessible and inclusive for all. Across the EU, 30% of cultural heritage sites, 25% of cultural venues and 40% of cultural websites lack accessibility, continuing to pose significant barriers to the participation of people with special needs in cultural life. In this context, digital transformation offers powerful opportunities to reimagine accessibility, ranging from artificial intelligence to immersive technologies, digital storytelling to interactive learning environments. The conference will address how these opportunities can be seized and how inclusive policies can be developed in the field of cultural heritage, and aims to provide an opportunity to share studies, project findings and practices in Turkey and around the world.
