TÜBA Honorary Member Prof. Hüseyin Leblebici Has Passed Away
TÜBA Honorary Member and Illinois University Faculty Member Prof. Hüseyin Leblebici lost his life on October 4, 2017.
We would like to offer our condolences to her family and the scientific community. May Allâh rest Prof. Hüseyin Leblebici who left a very important trail behind him with his academic experience and personality, in peace.
Who is Prof. Hüseyin Leblebici?
After completing his undergraduate studies in ODTÜ in 1969, he continued his academic life in USA. He took his MBA From the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in Business Administration in 1972 and the PhD in 1975. He made the most important contributions to organizational theory. His works published in leading journals, including ASQ, AMR, Organization Science and SMJ. He also contributed to the most important journals of the management-organization field as a reviewer and editorial board member.
In addition to being a very valuable researcher, Hüseyin Leblebici has also been the Head of the Department of Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign for ten years. He contributed to the establishment of Turkey’s most important universities. He supported the initiation of organizations such as the National Management and Organization Congress, Organization Theory Workshop. He has opened horizons to young academics with lectures and seminars he has given to many universities. He was elected as TÜBA Member in 2012.
