Ilham Haydarov, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Ankara, visited the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA). During the meeting, Haydarov met with TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker and presented him with a copy of the book Amir Timur and His Legacy, a work on one of the most significant figures in Uzbek history and culture.
The “Babur Shah and His Legacy Workshop,” organized as part of the book titled “Babur Shah and His Legacy”—whose preparations were initiated by TÜBA to mark the 500th anniversary spanning the years 1526–2026—was successfully held in Ankara.
The iNCLUSION Project (“Upskilling Higher Education Students to Create Transformative Cultural Experiences for Audiences with Disabilities”), coordinated by Türkiye Bilimler Akademisi and supported under the Türkiye National Agency Erasmus+ KA220-HED Programme, is a social innovation initiative that reconsiders, at the European scale, the ways in which cultural heritage is designed, experienced, and transmitted. The project has focused on a long-standing and significant need in the field of cultural heritage by fostering inclusive, accessible, and emotionally engaging cultural narratives for individuals with special needs. Shaped through the contributions of Anadolu University, the Balkan Museum Network, SEALS Foundation, Artifactory, and SOBE Foundation, this collaborative network has provided a strong academic and practice-oriented foundation for the project.
The application period for the International TÜBA Academy Awards, for which the nomination process has begun for 2026, will continue until May 15, 2026.
Applications for the 2026 TÜBA-Outstanding Young Scientist Awards (TÜBA-GEBİP) and TÜBA Scientific Copyright Awards (TÜBA-TESEP) programs, run by TÜBA, are now open. Applications can be submitted until March 27, 2026.
