“Special Achievement Award” from USA to TÜBA Associate Member Prof. Taşkın Kavzoğlu
TÜBA Associate Member, Gebze Technical University Engineering Faculty Dean and Geographical Engineering Faculty Member Prof. Taşkın Kavzoğlu has received “Special Achievement Award” from ABD in GIS field with the project titled as “Establishment of a Sustainable and Intelligent Waste Management System for Improving the Quality of Life in Beykoz District”.
The award ceremony of the project, which uses innovative approaches and advanced spatial analysis and inquiries in its field, was held on 10 July 2019 in San Diego. The project, which was awarded the GIS “Special Achievement Award by ESRI, the world's leading company in the field of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) of the USA, was supported by the Istanbul Development Agency in April 2016 within the scope of the Innovative and Creative Istanbul Financial Support Program and put into operation at the Beykoz Municipality.
