ALLEA (All European Academies) Standing Committee on Science and Ethics which convened in İstanbul on 23-24 May 2008, was hosted by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA). After the biannual meeting, Prof. Dr. Ayşe Erzan who is also a member of the TÜBA Science Ethics Committee, held a workshop with the participation of both ALLEA and TÜBA committees' members and of Prof. Dr. Ioanna Kuçuradi (President of the Philosophical Society of Turkey). This workshop was opened by Academy President Prof. Dr. Engin Bermek's speech on “Science Ethics and TÜBA”. His speech was followed by the presentations below:
