TÜBA - PROGRAMME FOR TRANSLATION OF UNIVERSITY COURSE BOOKS INTO TURKISH
The aim of this program me is to close the gap in university course books in Turkey. Translation by field specialists (into Turkish) of course books of prominent universities in countries like the US or the UK, regardless of commercial interest would be useful. Moreover, Academy President and Members esteem that supporting writers of course books in Turkey is in line with the principles of this Programme.
The first stage of the Programme is to translate course books for the freshmen classes of universities, and a course book on mathematics is being translated. Similar work will be done in economics, political science, chemistry, biology, physics, psychology and geology. This Programme receives funding from the State Planning Office.
